Privacy Policy

Mitten Made Lawn Services (“we”, “us”) operates this website. This policy explains what information we collect when you use it, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit an estimate request, we collect the information you enter in the form:

• Your name and email address
• Your phone number, if you provide one
• Your property address, city, and ZIP code, to the extent you provide them
• Whether the property is residential or commercial
• Which services you are interested in
• Your preferred contact method
• Any message you choose to write

If you email us directly, we receive whatever information is in that email.

Information collected automatically

When you submit the estimate form, we also record your browser's user-agent string, the page you submitted from, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. We use the hash to detect abuse and limit automated spam submissions. We do not store your raw IP address, and the hash cannot be reversed to recover it.

Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs as part of operating the site.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled on this site, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information subject to Google’s privacy policy. We have IP anonymization enabled. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Prepare and deliver your estimate
• Contact you about your request, using the method you chose
• Schedule and carry out services you agree to
• Keep records of work performed for your property
• Protect the site from spam and abuse

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not send marketing emails to people who have not asked for them.

How we store and protect it

Estimate requests are stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database (Supabase) with access restricted to our own server. The database is not readable from your browser or from the public internet; only our server-side code can reach it, using a credential that is never sent to any visitor.

No system is perfectly secure, and we don’t claim otherwise. But we have deliberately designed this site so that your details are never exposed to other visitors.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that make this website work:

• Vercel — website hosting
• Supabase — database storage for estimate requests
• Resend — sends us an email notification when you submit a request, if enabled
• Google Analytics — aggregate traffic statistics, if enabled

Each of these processes data on our behalf. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests for as long as needed to serve you and maintain business records. If you never become a customer, you can ask us to delete your request at any time and we will.

Your choices

You can contact us at any time to:

• Ask what information we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your information
• Tell us to stop contacting you

Cookies

This site does not use cookies for advertising or tracking across other websites. If analytics are enabled, Google Analytics sets its own cookies as described above. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site works fine without them.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging services for property they own or manage. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly.
