The name is the whole idea. Michigan is the Mitten, this is where we're from, and this is the only place we work.
Mitten Made Lawn Services is new — and we'd rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. What being new actually means is that we don't have a backlog of accounts to hide behind. Every property we take on has to go well, because right now our reputation is being built one lawn at a time.
That shapes how we operate. We keep our routes inside Genesee County instead of spreading across half the state, because a tight route is the only honest way to promise you a consistent service day. We quote after walking your property, because the alternative is a low number on the phone followed by an awkward conversation later. And we do the detail work — the trimming, the edging, blowing off the walk — because that's the part people actually notice.
We handle residential and commercial properties, from a standard subdivision lot in Grand Blanc to a small business frontage in Flint. Whatever the property, the process is the same: we come look at it, we tell you what it needs, and you decide.

We show up
A schedule only means something if it holds. If we say Tuesday, we're there Tuesday — and if weather moves us, you hear about it from us first.
We quote what we see
Nobody prices a property from a satellite photo. We walk it, we look at the slope and the trim work and the condition, and then we give you a number.
We say what we don't do
We'd rather turn down work than fake our way through it. If something's outside what we're set up for, we'll tell you straight and point you somewhere useful.
We work for the long haul
Cutting a lawn too short makes it look tidy today and burns it out by August. We manage the property for how it'll look all season, not just this visit.
